The Basics
The elbow joint is composed of many bones such as the humerus, ulna, and radius. They are crucial for everyday functions. An elbow fracture or dislocation could be caused due to significant force such as a fall where you land directly onto your hand or arm or during a sports injury.

Signs and symptoms
Patient with an elbow dislocation or fracture experience extreme pain after the injury. They may also experience swelling, stiffness, a decreased range of motion, and sharp pain during specific movements.
Treatment
Non operative treatments include applying a brace or splint, physical therapy, and anti-inflammatory medications. Operative treatments may be recommended for severe injuries or cases where non operative treatments fail.
